Total Lighting & Controls recently installed LED lighting for the Hesters Way Neighbourhood Project in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.
The aim of the project was to reduce energy costs, improve light levels and to cut the cost of expensive maintenance. With the energy savings projected a grant of 35% of the total cost of the project was approved.
The existing electrical load of an estimated 15.91KW were costing in the region of £5,950.00 per annum. The new load with LED was calculated at 5.98KW costing approximately £2,233.00 annually. Therefore annual electrical saving of £3,717.00 were estimated (62%).
Light levels were dramatically improved and the maintenance budget on lighting was eliminated.
