Total Lighting & Controls recently won a contract to upgrade the lighting at the Holy Ascension Church in Hyde, Hampshire.
The existing halogen lighting was failing and therefore light levels were very low at 100 lux or below, plus a mounting height of 4.5 metres made the lights very difficult to access and maintain. Each light had a 100 Watt electrical output and were also extremely inefficient.
The energy efficient solution that we recommended was to upgrade the lighting with the 32 Watt Manta LED spotlight to provide 78% savings on the electricity bill. Light levels are now 300 lux which is a vast improvement, and an expected lifetime of 70,000 hours and a 5 year warranty provides zero maintenance.
