Total Lighting & Controls have recently upgraded the fluorescent lighting to LED at Carrant Brook Junior School in Tewkesbury.
The old fluorescent lighting was falling into disrepair in the hall and was in need of replacement, so the solution was to install recessed LED panels into the ceiling, and at the same time install movement sensors for control.
The benefits are improved light levels, lower energy costs with the reduced energy load of LED and the lighting controls turning lights off when the hall is unoccupied. With the longer life of the new lighting maintenance is now a thing of the past so the school now make additional savings on the annual budget.
