Total Lighting & Controls won the contract to replace the existing sodium and halogen lighting at St. Lawrence Church in Barnwood, Gloucester.
The old sodium lighting provided a yellow light which was dated, gave poor light levels, was expensive to run and maintain, plus there was an audible hum which was very noticeable during sermons.
The new Wing LED spotlights provide a natural white light, improving light levels significantly and no annoying hum. Savings of 51% have been estimated on the electricity costs and with a 5 year warranty there will be no more expensive maintenance bills.
As you will see below the church is now brighter, the colour of the impressive stonework is enhanced and the ceiling is highlighted making a real feature.
